1. About Launch Hub Learning

At Launch Hub Learning, our mission is to empower students by providing a solid foundation in their areas of interest through a structured approach that emphasizes hands-on learning, practical application, and transferrable skill development. We are committed to equipping students with a diverse set of transferable skills that are essential for success in any endeavor they choose to pursue. These include fostering personal well-being, effective teamwork, clear and effective communication, and the ability to present and articulate ideas confidently.

We also emphasize the importance of implementing ideas, adapting to changing situations, and cultivating perseverance and resilience. Our program encourages students to embrace challenges, learn from setbacks, and develop the mindset to work efficiently and creatively. 2. Program Information

Launch Hub Learning offers a variety of on-site educational programs for students. These programs are designed to cater to different learning needs, and we offer a range of class types, including:

• Standalone Classes: These are designed for students to join without needing prior experience, allowing for flexible participation and a broad introduction to new topics.

• Prerequisite-Based Classes: These classes build on prior knowledge, providing an opportunity for students to expand and deepen their understanding in a specific subject area.

Before the start of classes, we send a welcome email with important program details, including class schedules, materials, and any specific requirements. We believe in setting clear expectations so students can arrive to each class prepared and excited to learn.

3. Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is vital for your child to gain the most from our programs. We believe that consistent participation is key to mastering new skills and concepts. Please notify us in advance if your child will be absent. If a make-up class is available, your child may attend it; otherwise, we apologize for the inconvenience. To help your child stay up to date, we will share via email the content that was covered in the missed class.

4. Class Schedule and Location

Launch Hub Learning offers classes in various formats, including monthly programs, 6-week sessions, and other term options. Our flexible scheduling allows students to join a program that best fits their needs. Classes are held on a weekly basis, and consistent attendance is expected to ensure steady progress throughout the program.

Launch Hub Learning works directly with schools to offer our classes. Our classes are taught at schools during the school day hours or during the extended care hours. We may also rent space in the school building to offer evening classes at 5 PM.

5. Health and Safety

The health and safety of our students are our top priority. We follow the health and safety policies of your child’s school, including all procedures related to illness, emergencies, allergies, and other safety guidelines. This approach ensures consistency with the school's standards and helps maintain a safe environment for all participants.

• Illness Policy: If your child is unwell, please keep them at home to prevent the spread of illness. If a student becomes ill during a session, parents will be notified, and prompt pickup is required.

• Emergency Procedures: In the event of an emergency, we follow the established emergency procedures of the school facility. Our staff is trained in basic first aid, and we will contact parents as soon as possible if an emergency arises.

• Allergies: If your child has allergies or other medical conditions, please inform us beforehand so that we can make the necessary accommodations to ensure their safety.

6. Behavior Expectations

We are committed to fostering a positive and respectful environment for everyone. To create a productive learning atmosphere, we expect children to:

• Respect: Treat peers, staff, and the learning environment with respect at all times.

• Follow Instructions: Listen to and follow the guidance provided by instructors to ensure a smooth learning experience for all.

• Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude towards learning and participate actively in class activities.

• No Disruption: Refrain from using inappropriate language or engaging in disruptive behavior that may interfere with the learning experience of others.

Our primary goal is to help students learn and grow in a supportive environment. If a child displays inappropriate behavior, our staff will work closely with the child to address it. Repeated issues may result in a meeting with parents, suspension, or removal from the program if deemed necessary. 

7. Communication with Parents

We believe in maintaining open and transparent communication with parents and guardians. We want to ensure that you are informed and involved in your child’s educational journey. Important program updates, schedules, and announcements will be shared via email. Please ensure your contact information remains current to avoid missing important notifications.

We regularly email parents about their child’s activities and progress in Launch Hub Learning classes. We also welcome you to stop by after class to ask questions or discuss your child’s progress in person. Your involvement is vital to us, and we are here to support you and your child throughout the program.

8. Weather Cancellations

In the event of inclement weather, we will follow the school’s policies. If the school is closed due to weather or any other reason, our classes will be cancelled, and a make-up class will be scheduled. Please note that we will not send additional communication regarding cancellations beyond following the school’s closure notifications.

9. Personal Belongings

We encourage students to come prepared with the materials they need for each class, but we ask that valuable items remain at home. Launch Hub Learning is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings, so please ensure your child only brings what is necessary.

• Valuables: Avoid sending valuable items, such as electronics or expensive accessories, as we cannot be responsible for their safekeeping.

• Required Materials: You will be informed in advance of any required materials for classes. Please support your child in coming prepared for each session with the necessary supplies.

10. Student Conduct

All students are expected to treat others with respect and adhere to the behavior guidelines established by Launch Hub Learning. Our aim is to provide a supportive learning environment where all participants feel valued and engaged.

We encourage students to demonstrate:

• Respect for Others: Kindness and respect towards peers and instructors.

• Commitment to Learning: A positive attitude and willingness to engage in all activities.

11. Withdrawal and Cancellation Policy

If you need to withdraw your child from a program, please provide written notice at your earliest convenience. Payments are non-refundable once the course has begun. If you cancel the entire course at least one week before the first session, a refund minus any applicable payment processing fees will be provided. A full refund will be issued if Launch Hub Learning cancels the course.
