1. Launch Hub Program Description

Launch Hub (hereinafter "the Program") offers a variety of supervised educational and recreational activities for enrolled participants. Activities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Robotics workshops — building, programming, and operating robotic systems
  • Coding classes —instruction in programming languages and software development
  • Cooking classes — food preparation using kitchen equipment, appliances, and utensils
  • Indoor recreational activities — group games, creative projects, and collaborative challenges
  • Outdoor recreational activities — structured play, sports, and physical activities on camp grounds
2. Assumption of Risk

I understand and acknowledge that participation in Launch Hub Summer Camp activities involves certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken by camp staff. These risks include, but are not limited to:

Robotics & Technology

  • Minor cuts, pinches, or abrasions from handling robot components, tools, or electronic equipment
  • Eye strain from extended screen use
  • Potential electrical hazards from low-voltage electronic components

Coding & Computer Activities

  • Eye strain and repetitive motion discomfort from extended keyboard/mouse use
  • Exposure to general technology and internet-enabled devices

Cooking Classes

  • Burns or scalds from heat sources, hot liquids, or steam
  • Cuts or lacerations from kitchen utensils including knives and graters
  • Allergic reactions to food ingredients (see Section 5 — Medical Disclosure)
  • Slips or falls in kitchen environment

Indoor & Outdoor Activities

  • Sprains, strains, or minor injuries from physical play and recreation
  • Exposure to weather conditions during outdoor activities
  • Insect bites, sunburn, or heat-related discomfort during outdoor sessions
  • Minor collisions or falls during group activities
3. Liability Waiver & Release

IN CONSIDERATION of my child's participation in the Program, I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian, hereby agree to the following:

a) WAIVER OF LIABILITY: I voluntarily waive and release Launch Hub Summer Camp, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents (collectively "Released Parties")
from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may be sustained by my child during participation in camp activities, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. 

b) HOLD HARMLESS: I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or resulting from my child's participation in camp activities.

c) ACKNOWLEDGMENT: I acknowledge
that I have read this waiver, understand its terms, have had the opportunity to
ask questions, and sign it freely and voluntarily without any inducement.

4. Supervision & Behavioral Agreement

I understand and agree to the following terms regarding supervision and participant conduct:    

  • Camp staff will provide reasonable supervision of all activities; however, staff cannot guarantee the prevention of all accidents or injuries
  • My child agrees to follow all safety instructions given by camp staff
  • My child agrees to treat all equipment, materials, and fellow campers with respect
  • My child agrees not to use any equipment or tools without staff authorization and instruction
  • The Program reserves the right to remove a participant from an activity or from the Program entirely if their behavior poses a safety risk to themselves or others
  • I understand that if my child is asked to leave the program due to behavioral issues, no refund of fees will be provided
5. Governing Law & Severability

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which the Program operates. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
